Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

SpriteCatalog is developed and operated by ggup.cl. Contact: avillagran@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

• Account (optional): if you sign in, we receive your email address, user identifier (UID) and display name through Firebase Authentication.
• Google Sign In: Google shares the email, UID and name you have configured in your Google account.
• Sign in with Apple: Apple shares your UID and the name you choose during sign-in. If you choose to hide your email, Apple provides a private relay email address (e.g. @privaterelay.appleid.com) that we use only for account recovery and deletion requests. We never see your real Apple email unless you choose to share it.
• Your collection: which Sprites you mark as owned and their level (0–5), plus the public nick you choose. This is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore) and mirrored in our secure database so public profiles and leaderboards can be shown without overloading Firestore.
• Advertising: we show ads via Google AdMob (app) and, on the web, Google AdSense and/or Bitmedia. These services may use device identifiers and cookies to show relevant ads. Please review each provider’s privacy policy.
• Local use: if you do not sign in, your collection is saved only on your device.

OCR scanner: processes images on your device. Photos or screenshots you use to recognize Sprites are never uploaded to any server.

3. How we use your data

• Save and sync your collection between the app and the web.
• Show your public profile at sprites.ggup.cl/<your-nick> if you enable it.
• Show advertising to keep the service free.

4. What we do NOT do

We do not sell your data. Your email address is never public. Only your nick and your collection are visible if you enable the public profile.

5. Third-party services

We use Google Firebase (authentication and database), Apple (Sign in with Apple), Google AdMob/AdSense (advertising), Bitmedia (web advertising) and Cloudflare (web hosting). Each has its own privacy policy.

6. Your rights

You can make your profile private, change your nick or sign out at any time from the app or the website. To delete your account and all associated data, email us at remove@ggup.cl or use the delete-account page.

7. Minors

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. The current version will always be posted at this address.
